Jack and the Great Escape
So today, Maple and I were playing like always in the back yard when we found... an escape hatch to the other side. We sneaked past the authorities and made our way to freedom in the ungated front yard! It was thrilling. Just me and Maple and the wide open yard. We got side tracked drinking some mud water though, and were quickly captured by CBB. So that was the end of that. And the end of us running around untethered in the backyard.

Hit the Road Jack
So yesterday, we hit the road. RGV --> Tulsa. 15 hours. But I had my box, and we took lots of breaks so I was a-okay!
Beautiful? Yes. Slightly bumble? Also yes. No Mountain Men attack us though, and we made it home in one piece!
happy Jack in the box in the car.
We left our lovely valley home around 6:45 am, after a quick- yet essential- stop at the Taco P drive through. Drive through were super important for the entire duration of the trip, because I cant be left in the car alone or else I DIE. Haven't you seen those terrible Humane Society commercials?! Its 109 degrees in south Texas. I would cook myself. Yeah. Not happening. Moms out of the car. I'm out of the car.
Our first stop was AUSTIN! Austin is WONDERFUL and we might live here one day- which I would be SUPER Happy about because they have this amazing store called Whole Foods and they let dogs sit an eat with people. They also give dogs water Fo' FREEEEE.
our drive lead us down 6th street!
For those of you who have never been- this is Austin; the best city in the world.
I made so many friedns with fit, attractive Austinites, however my FAVORITE Austinites are Chelsea and Edwin soon-to-be Ochoa. They just moved here and were nice enough to come to Whole Foods to eat with us so that I wouldn't have to sit in the car. Pictures to come from our visit!
After we hung with Chelsea and Edwin, mom let me sit out-of-the-box in the front seat for the short drive to the gas station. I thanked her by shitting in the front seat. So then I went back to being a Jack in the Box.
Around 5:00, we realized that our cell phone was losing battery. Long drive + sketchy back roads in Okie-homa + nightfall means we def we cell phone service. so we had to find a place to charge the phone. Problem: I cant be left in the car alone (remember, I DIE), and we cant leave a cell phone charging inside somewhere because crazy people could steal it. what to do, what to do. We needed to find an outdoor outlet. On the side of 35 North. Super.
Eventually we found this electrical plant that HAD AN OUTDOOR OUTLET!! Not strange at all to have a white, blond girl and her dog poking around the backside of an electrical plant in Waxahache Texas. Not.Strange.At.All.
Where we charged the phone.
Finally, we were ALMOST home. 15 hours later. Driving through the middle of Oklahoma, farm town country, I decide I REALLY GOTTA GO. So we had to pull over on our very last sketchy/scary road trip pit stop here:
